Full Job Description – Centre Concrete Northeast is hiring a Dispatcher to work in its Pittston, PA location. Responsible for working with contractors to record orders and schedule concrete deliveries in the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Nanticoke, and Hazelton, PA areas. The role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. The successful candidate will also serve as a liaison for ordering materials, interacting with ready mixed concrete drivers, quality control personnel and the concrete batcher. A background in concrete or construction is preferred, but is not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate who possess the right attitude and communication skills. Computer skills are required. Pay rate is based on skill and experience. Overtime of time and a half is paid for all hours over 40 per week. Excellent health benefits along with 401k plan, paid holidays and vacation are included. Must be willing to work early morning hours for all days of the week. Full Job Description – Centre Concrete Northeast, a ready-mixed concrete manufacturer in northeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time quality control technician for its Pittston facility. Good opportunities with a solid company built on service. The employee is required to work in a safe and efficient manner. Employee should be able to learn or know how to test a variety of materials to ensure proper manufacturing of concrete for the company’s customers. The preferred candidate will have some experience, though not necessary, with testing and laboratory procedures; has or is capable of obtaining certifications from ACI for Field Testing and from PennDOT for concrete and aggregate. Company is willing to help in obtaining these certifications if the right candidate is identified. A valid PA Driver’s License is a must, with preference for the candidate to be willing to obtain a DOT medical card. Must have and understand moderate computer skills, with programs such as Word, Excel, and the Internet. Employee will need to be able to interact with customers, co-workers, and regulatory agencies on a daily basis, as well as work in teams or individually pending work required of employee.
Requirements:
• Testing of materials on a daily basis.
• Work a variety of hours, longer hours during the construction season.
• Testing ready-mixed concrete from a truck.
• Climbing in, up, and down a ready mixed concrete truck.
• Detailed oriented: keeping track of testing results and transcribing them into the appropriate documents and computer programs.
Qualifications:

• Moderate computer skills with programs such as email, internet, Excel, and Word
• Have or obtain a DOT medical card; CDL a plus, but not necessary.
• Carry weights of 50lbs as well as stand for long periods of time.
